Thomas Davis, 43, of Mansfield, was arrested in August 2021 after police raided his home and found sexual images of children as young as 12 years old, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said.

Davis pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and receiving child pornography over the internet in February 2023.

Davis served as a special education teacher for three years at Foxborough High until FBI agents raided his Central Street home in Mansfield on Aug. 26, 2021. Officers found 40 images and videos featuring child sexual abuse material. However, lawyers said he had downloaded 600 photos and videos to his laptop.

“Child pornography is not a victimless crime – every image or video depicts the real-life pain and abuse inflicted on an innocent child. Downloading this vile material on the internet only furthers their victimization,” said Acting United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy. “As a teacher, Mr. Davis was entrusted with protecting and safeguarding our children. Clearly, he violated that sacred responsibility."
